Disclosure: As a SNAP! attendee I received complimentary product from DohVinci. Regardless, all expressed opinions are strictly my own.
In April, I was able to attend an impressive social media conference “dedicated to bloggers who cook, create and celebrate” called SNAP! Held at the Little America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, SNAP! 2014 was incredible and introduced me to some really great brands and their amazing products. Among them was one that would become a family favorite called DohVinci, a brand new Play-Doh product from Hasbro. SNAP! attendees got a special sneak peek of the product before it hit store shelves.
After the conference the boys couldn’t wait to play with it. They loved it, and our DohVinci was gone long before we could find more in stores.
With DohVinci now on store shelves and the Fall session of General Conference just around the corner, we’re excited to add DohVinci to our General Conference Activity Kit.
So, What Is DohVinci?
DohVinci is an innovative air-dry design compound [source]. Imagine a cordless, heatless glue gun that applies Play-Doh instead of glue to a surface. Now imagine it being super easy to load, use and clean. That’s DohVinci.
Load a Deco Pop filled with DohVinci in the color of your choice into the Styler. Then, squeeze and design. Additional Design Tips make it simple to add fun 3D shapes. There are several fun DohVinci project kits available.
Though the recommended age for DohVinci is 6 years & up, our 3-year-old is able to use the styler and apply the Design Tips. He loves to use DohVinci on a plain sheet of paper.
For creators, DohVinci sticks to a variety of surfaces including:
✿ duct tape
✿ painted metal
✿ paper [one of our favorites]
✿ wood craft

Uses for DohVinci
We love experimenting with DohVinci. We’ve learned it doesn’t stick very well to foam craft. We love how well it sticks to cardboard and paper because we often have both laying around at home in the form of cereal boxes, coloring books, magazines, printer paper, etc.
General Conference Quiet Time With DohVinci
For the upcoming Fall session of General Conference, we thought we’d share 3 great printables we’re planning on using with DohVinci as a quiet activity during the talks. [Because this is our energetic 3-year-old, and you can never have too many quiet activities.]
