With your boxed elf in hand or seated atop the Christmas tree, you must give your elf a name. If you’re not yet familiar with Elf Tradition, learn why your elf needs a name HERE.
Create An Account For Your Elf On The Shelf
If you’re visiting The Elf on the Shelf site for the first time, click “Register:”
Open another internet browser window and log into your active email account. To complete your registration you will need to verify your email address.
All you need to register is:
1| an active email address
2| a password for your Elf account
On the Elf on the Shelf website click the blue “Create New Account” button. Watch for an email to arrive in your Inbox. Click the verification link in your email. Once you click the verification link you’ll return to the website, already logged into the account you just created!
Give Your Elf on the Shelf A Name
Time to give your elf a name! You can add up to 4 elves per account.
Look for this “Elf Registry” box,
or click the red “Elf Registry” button below:

Once you’ve entered your elf’s name, click the “Save Profile” button.
Know that you can edit your elf’s profile at any time.
Print Your Elf’s Adoption Certificate
“Elf Registry” from the site’s top menu will give you access to:
>>> your elf’s completed Adoption Certificate and Letter from Santa.
Click HERE to download blank copies of each
>>> “Edit Elf Profile.” Look for the link beneath “Adoption Date.”
